Blue Whale Towels Plush Cover FAQ

How do I setup the Plush Guard?

  1. Spray down the brush as good measure using the pressure washer in the car wash.
  2. Put the plush guard over the brush and tighten the draw-string, locking the plush guard in place.
  3. Tuck the rest of the draw string inside the Plush Guard to keep it from getting in the way of washing.
  4. Spray down the Plush Guard with water or pressured soap. Getting the plush guard wet before using, helps it function better.
  5. Turn on the foaming brush, and wash your car!

Why is the soap coming out of the back instead of through the Plush Guard?

Some self serve car wash soaps are not diluted and instead of coming out of the brush as a soapy mix, it comes out almost like foam instead of coming out as the soap would be if you were to bucket wash the car. The foam type of soap has a tough time passing through the netting and the microfiber, even though it's designed to allow soap to pass through. Wetting the plush guard before washing can help this, otherwise the very thick foam-like soap will come out of the back of the plush guard, still preventing contact of brush to clear-coat.

What's better, a soapy mix or foamy soap?

We believe a very sudsy mix of soap and water is the best way. Not just because it works better with the Plush Guard, but because we believe having a more liquid form of soap, helps suspend dirt and debris better, while also letting it float away easier and wash off easier by being more lubricated.

It's hard to wash a car with just foam, it almost dries up and does not clean as well. So, we strongly believe the best way is to use a sudsy soapy mix that's not thick and also has water in it - similar to the bucket of soap and water you would dip your wash mitt in if you were hand washing the vehicle.
